Presentation in Cambridge, Maryland
One of the Sunday school kids tries to drag the heavy water container.
Aguayuda visited the Immanuel United Church of Christ on July 15, 2012 to present the organization’s purpose and mission to the congregation. We showed a video, set up an informational table, and answered some great questions in hopes of sharing our passion for clean water. During the service, we met with Sunday school students and organized a water relay race in order to demonstrate the challenges of obtaining and transporting clean drinking water. By running with heavy water bottles and trying not to lose any precious water, the children quickly learned how lucky they are to have such easy access to water.
The event was a great success and thanks to the generous congregation we raised a total of $429! Everyone was excited to learn that through their donations, we are now able to purchase four new LifeStraw® Family filters for four families struggling to obtain clean drinking water. Thanks again to Immanuel United Church of Christ for inviting us to their service and for taking such a strong interest in Aguayuda.
